Seeking Suggestions

Hello friends of Sarlona,

I am nearing 20th level and plan on reincarnating to a Halfling Monk when the time comes. I am seeking suggestions on build type, low to mid level gear, etc. I am currently working on my White Dragonscale Robe, have a Minos Legens already, and a Greensteel cloak in the bank. Just wondering what I should be stocking up on for when I do reincarnate. I have been tinkering with a halfling monk, as I plan on reinc'ing to one, just to get the feel for what the potiential is. Thanks in advance for any help.

before u get any farther with the white robe just stop now , either go for the icy rainment or farm out your DragonTouch armor either are easier and cheaper to get , and even if u dont get everything u want on the dragontouch right away its still easier and nicer imho , as for the build someone else can help u with that

I'm now SoS flagged, so I will be doing the DT armor as well. Not paying for the dragonscales though, just getting them as they drop so its only costing about 45 mins - 1 hour to run Tor and Dragons. Was only doing it til I could wear the DT robe . The Icy is another story hehe, been on about 40 Icy runs and not once have I pulled it. So I gotta keep trying for that . - Mantle of the Worldshaper
- A Tier II or Tier III Silver Flame Amulet
- Vanilla Invulnerability Outfit
- Vanilla Holy Handwraps
- Minos Legion
- Nightforge Gorget (Optional)
- ML 10-12 Weighted 5% Handwraps

I’m having an absolute blast relevelling my reincarnated monk. (I would probably be capped if I hadn’t given myself the goal of completing all landscapes by Highest level +1) Just make sure to pace yourself for the relevelling. The increased XP for a 34 point build isn’t bad but it really forces you to reassess the “Run these quests 10 times” levelling scheme. So far, it seems like the happiest players of reincarnated characters have been doing the “Hit quests for favor at the level of the quest” scheme.

Another fun thing about reincarnations: Usually, you are off the hook for the gear grind.
Level 8? Screw Material DR’s - I got the Devout Handwraps!
Level 9? Hold monster De-nied! Kundarak Delving Boots you stupid caster! On noes! They dispelled my GH! Oh well, I got another since all my high level guys moved on to Draconic Necklaces…
Level 12? 300+ HP cause I got a Greensteel HP cloak!
Level 14? Hey look! I got a standing 49 AC. Wait? I got a 49 AC? How did that happen? Oh yeah the Raiment and the +7 Braciers.

For your build: Make sure you pick up the “Past Life: Disciple of the Fist” feat at level 3. It doesn’t read like much but it’s great to punch stuff like a monk 4 levels higher than you.
