As someone who's been 20 for like a month and not done one Epic dungeon yet... I'm really not seeing the point, unless I feel like grinding out tokens for a TR instead of paying.

Don't forget it's also indispensable at Goblin raves, with that danceclubtastic blue glow.

That's what I was getting at with the radiance thing . . it glows, but there is no torch light spell in game so I had to improvise.

Great, it does 2d12 damage, or 13 average, + 6 for enhancement. And some con damage. With no metalline, so it's no good for shroud, elementals, Amrath, VoD, Sub-T runs, or pretty much anything I'd find myself doing once I got to level 20 to use it.

It's not that hard to find a weapon with one or more of: higher average damage from elemental or alignment effects, a useful bane (And you'd only need "normal" bane to get in about the right range, let alone greater bane), vorpal, better stat damage, a more useful bang for a DC (Cursespewing and paralyzing come to mind), weighted...

Any of which would be better than 19 damage per hit, and some essentially useless fluff. Except maybe the red socket, that's the best part of it. And since that requires grinding more to get something to put in... meh. I could craft a dualshard in less playtime, and it would do more damage to more targets.

Sure there are better weapons out there but the epic Sting isn't junk; it's essentially a +6(!) w/p shortsword with some extra goodies and a red slot.
