Hit Die Changes?

Bards have a hit die of D6.

Barbarians have a hit die of D12.

If I take my level 10 Bard and splash a level of Barbarian into him, will he inherit a D12 hit die?

You will get 6 hit points for each level of bard, and 12 hit points for each level of barbarian. The hit points granted by levels in bard are not affected by your barbarian levels.

For that one level he will, as well as any other levels you put barbarian into your build, once you go back to bard it will go back to d6.

Ahh, ok...so more each Barbarian level brings a higher hit die increase. Makes sense.
