Default Best slot for GS immunity item?

ok I currently have GS goggles at tier 2 for all immunities, but then I pulled Thranes goggles. So I am thinking I want to make a different GS item with all the immunities.

What is the best spot for it? Belt? Cloak? Necklace?

What other End game items should I be trying for and what spots do they take, so I do not waste another GS build?

btw I am pure fighter and will stay pure fighter for all 20 levels

I like gloves, currently, but that will probably just make the next "musthave" item on gloves.

It will be very tough to top the set bonus effects from ToD Necklace/Belt/Ring combos, so all those slots are out.

Helm: Generally not since minos legens is pretty awesome
Bracers probably not as they have a few good options tho current not iireplacable items:
    Leviks, Glacial, Epic Hunter

So that leaves only cloak and gloves.
Cloak: Not really any great named one for melee, but it does tend to be the best slot for resist +5
Gloves: Epic Spectrals are kinda nice, but if you have a very solid attack bonus anyways, you can forego them, or at least swap into them only when you need ghosttouch

    Bank!

Really, though, you'd probably be better off with an hp item or something of the like--there aren't really any important immunity effects that can't be mimicked by spells from your neighborhood cleric or caster, and I'm assuming (though this could be wrong) that you don't do a ton of soloing with your pure fighter.

That isn't to say an immunities item can't be nice and handy, but it just isn't the sort of thing that you need to have on all the time. If you're tight on resources for making tier-two gs items (as it sounds like), I'd advise building something that you can use all the time first, then as you get more ingredients go ahead and make the situational items (especially now that you already have one copy, albeit on a not-so-desirable slot).

Anyhow, that's just my thinking on the matter--in the end, it's up to you, since you probably know best what your character needs.

    GK

P.S. For what it's worth, I'd go with gloves or cloak, leaning toward cloak.

thanks for all the advice. I feel like I am still new to the game and learning.

I do solo some, and I have started using a lot of potions. I will keep both and use when it seems best

Well if youre soloing you can leave em on the goggle slot. Tharnes becomes nothing more then a hotswap most of the time if solo. Its nice to be able to wear em all the time, but certainly not gamebreaking. You can swap to tharnes when you need ts, then back to your immunity item.

I think bracers for a ftr has become a good slot because chances are your using a TOD str ring, rendering leviks as just a 20% healing amp item.

Gloves are still a good bet. Some of my melee have belt or necklace spots opening up due to tod items.

I do not have the TOD ring yet (some day)

I like the Spectral gloves but could swap them as needed (hope to make them epic some day)

And I just got my Dragon touch so some of this might change depending on what I get and decide to keep on the armor (wish it got the same dex bonus as mithral).

well I think I have narrowed it down to either a cloak or bracers.

I now have the necklace piece of a 2 part set, just need the TOD ring to match. If that ever happens then I have no need for my current str6 bracers.

My cloak only gives me cha 6.

I have resist +5 on my dragon touch.

I like my spectral gloves and hope to make them epic some day.

might consider boots, but I always forget to switch to my feather fall boots when I need if I am using more then one pair of boots.

And if I get the ring from ToD I will have the bracer spot free as there is not much that comes on bracers
