I think its high time that the dungeon alerts were given more descriptive names and/or text than they have. After all, what does it mean when one sees "Dungeon Alert: Green" and the text "Your presence has not gone unnoticed!" Wow, I couldn't have told you that from the fact that there are monsters running after you screaming bloody murder and trying to to hack you to little pieces....
So here is my suggestion--change the levels of dungeon alert to the following:
Dungeon Alert: Green --> Hey, that was a monster you just ran by!
Dungeon Alert: Yellow --> Slooooowwwww Doooowwwwwn!
Dungeon Alert: Orange --> Stop zerging, we mean it!
Dungeon Alert: Red --> Turbine hates you.
I believe that these names or descriptions would much more accurately reflect the messages that Turbine intends to send with its dungeon alert system. They would therefore be that much more useful and informative for the masses, telling players exactly what is meant by each level of dungeon alert as it crops up. It is an easy fix to one of the many vague description issues from which this game suffers.
