    Question Mic not working

    Oh ok, Here's the problem my mic works fine when not in D&D online, i know this cause i have Speech Recognition but when i go into D&D is doesn't pick up me talking, i have it enable and tried testing and nothing happens.

    Yea, I'm having the same problem on a new rig. Just tried to change my userpreference file to olduserpreference and it worked but sounded terrible. Gonna keep researching..

    I'll post if I find anything

    Thank you ... Very much. Just so anyone who looks at this ... My Headset is a Logitech ClearChat Style.

    Did you see if you have the correct mic selected in your option panel? It's under audio at the bottom. make sure you have the right one then restart DDO.

    Yes, I do ... because i checked the name in my Audio Devices.

    Also check in your windows control panel, make sure it's set as your default device. And Vista can be cranky, if you end up changing anything restart your puter so it takes effect. (sometimes just closing ddo, opening another program then reopening ddo works as well. **** YOU VISTA !!!!)

    I have a Realtek HD Audio Manager that makes it easy to set my defaults. So yes it's my default.

    You'll want to double check in your windows control panel as well. there are options in there that might be sending it to your back mic port and not your front port or vice versa

    I only have 2 ports and at the front one for speaker or headphones and one for Mics, and i have no idea what Vice Versa is.
