    Default Cannot start DDO

I am a VIP player. I got a new laptop and did the Turbine Download manager download of 4.89Gb.
It appears to have completed, but when I run "C:\Program Files\Turbine\Dungeons and Dragons Online - Eberron Unlimited\TurbineInvoker.exe" and enter my password, it all loads up but all my character slots say " Please wait for download to complete "

I also have the game installed on my desktop and have no problems there at all.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Default Are you sure the download completed?

From what I've seen, you can begin the game from the TDM method long before the full game download is complete. Since you have the game installed on a desktop, look through the directory and see if all the files have been duplicated on your laptop. If they have not been (yet), make sure the downloader is running and give it more time. The downloader completes 4 distinct downloads.

    1) Intro quest
    2) Korthos Village
    3) Korthos island
    4) Full game.

The intent is to get you playing quickly. For people transferring the game to a new computer, you may be better off just downloading the "Full game" rather than using the TDM.

As a last experiment, try creating a new character and see if you can do the intro. If you can, but cannot get past it ("PLease wait for download to complete"), then you know the download is in fact not yet done.

I was able to create a new character and do some quests on Korthos. Thanks

Does Turbine offer a CD/DVD to make the process faster ? I would gladly pay for it.
If I had that then all I would have to wait for were the updates.

    Maybe next Christmas.
