Something's up with firestorm...

Is it just me or does this spell seem to have an unlimited range? I've been able to cast it while aiming at the sky and targeting locations WAY too far away for a non-enlarged spell to hit. (And no, I do not have the enlarge spell feat on me at all.) Also, it seems when I cast it at a far-away enough location, I dont see the spell cast, but I do see my character's movements, I hear the casting sounds and I dont get any errors.

it gets casted whereever your cursor points at, even if you have a hardtarget
