Default What happens when the "owner" leaves?

So the person that started our guild is leaving - RL issues and needs to resolve, doesn't think he'll be back in more than a year.

Can the guild go on when he's a non playing member?
Do F2P accounts collapse after a while, and then what would happen to the guild?
Can he pass guild leadership to anyone he chooses?
If he just quits, does the guild "owner" change to the next highest ranking member, or next longest existing member?

    Inquiring minds need to know.

    Thanks.

    Not really True.....

It would be nice if he did though...

DDO has a very limited set of Guild Tools.

If he named a Successor, if he fails to log in for 30 (Or is it 45?) days, the leadership of the guild will transfer.

Thats the only way to get Leadership back to a Live player should the guild owner suddenly go AFK.

THere is no Usurp or overthrow function int he game.

1: yes, the guild can go on. However, you would not be able to add any more officers as only the leader can promote people.

    2: accounts dont auto delete....

3: Yes, he can pass leadership.

    4: See above explanation.

Yes there is. That's what the 30/45 day function you mention is. After that time period, the successor has an "usurp" button show up on his social panel guild window, clicking it will make him ascend.

(unless they changed it from ~1.5 years ago, the last time I used it)
