My lady and I just joined D.O.A, what was it, Shaamis, two weeks ago or so? I have to actually ask, because I've learned so much in that time frame that it seems much longer. These guys rock. If you have a question, someone has an answer. If you ask for help, someone will help you. All the things Shaamis says in his posts actually apply and aren't just some P.R. spin designed to rope in warm bodies for guild level reknown. Moreover, as he stresses, these guys genuinely make the game FUN.

Due to some bad PUG experiences early on, my lady and I two manned a lot of the early to mid content with hirelings rather than deal with those again. As a result, we missed out on some of the more...group intensive content. We were a bit apprehensive about joining such a large guild of players with that lack of experience on our 'resume'. Now, we are not only gaining experience in the parts of the game we missed(group tactics, quest knowledge, proper gear, spells and weapons that make things SO much easier), we are having an absolute blast doing it.

So if D.O.A sounds right for you but you are sitting on the fence about joining, stop stalling. Contact Shaamis, or another Dragon, and ask about becoming one of us. You won't be disappointed.

I know I havent been on much 9RL and all, not to mention finding a local PnP group I play with now) but I'll be on to show you all what a drunken monk is capable of doing!

we are alway slooking for good players, but nowadays, we evaluate players before approaching them, unless we get someone who contacts us first for evaluation.

All you need to do is read the initial post, and if you think you fit into the DOA model of what we are about, contact a member of the guild, who can either direct you to our website, or an officer online.

If you are a player who likes to play the game for fun, and friendship, and comraderie, then you should be a member in no time!

I am a newbie to DDO. I played as a kid with dice but that was a long long long time ago. I started playing online and of course was so new and did not know how to play I goofed and advanced my cleric at level 2 with a rogue trainer which I thought would advance me up in Cleric, Boy was I wrong, so I now had a clr1/rog1. lol I kept fumbling around and made it to level 6. I was in a group and some poor toon was dying and I was trying to heal them but they still died, looked at my quick bar it was on the wrong page and realized that I was not healing him. In fact I was casting remove fear, must have hit him with that ten times! I am sorry he died but I took comfort in the fact that he was not afraid to die, LMAO. I was the toon scratching my head alot. One day I started talking to Atrious a member of this guild. Shortly after I got an invitation to join. I jumped at it. Since then as a casual player I advanced to level 10 and with the help of the guide I have learned alot. These people will sometimes take time out to come get your toon to show you where something is when you just can't seem to find it. Thier knowledge has been a godsend (earthmother ). Thank you Atrious ,Cyclonic, Shamus, and so many others that I wish I could remember right now but I am at work at 2am and brain dead right now. Thanks to the guide, I have become a better player and recommend it to anyone. I have followed thier example and although I might not know much, I will always try to help out a fellow member. Excuse the forum name and if you are playing look me up, my first toon is named DORRITO.

BOY!!!! How I've grown since that wreched toon!!!! LOL! A lot of my friends on DDO has watched me grow and better my skills in game. I have gained respect by a lot of people in game by doing my part as a healer in a quest. Its at the point that when I log on I have 3-4 tells waiting for me asking me to do an epic run or a big favorite to ask to heal in *wait for it*.......SHROUD! Since meeting Dorrito on the Eye of Kol Korran up until now a year and a half later I have watched him grow into the player he is today. I would like to thank the members of DOA especially Shaamis,Wackatron,Johnlogan, and I'm sure Haizi had something to do with it ;p, for showing him how to have fun and enjoy himself in game. I have nothing but good times when I quest with the members of DOA, They always know how to make a party fun!

You should get a contact from Haizi, and if not, as around and see if that old @$$ Shaamis is around on one of his alts.

He only comes out every once in a while when there is a need for him, and his drunken-ness.
