Framework 3.5

i really try to find a tread of this but i never found it, so i post this

i have windows vista, when i try to install the game it tells me that i not have framework 3.5 and when the installer try to put the frameworks, it says that i have a problem and i have to install manually, and i try to install manually but it tells me an error occurried, but not tell me what error, please help me!!!!

(im very bad in english, i speack spanish, if someone can tell me in spanish i would be very happy, but thanks anyway)

You do not need .net 3.5. You need .net 1.1 sp1 - with or without security hf, depending(*) - and I think also .net 2.0.

To install .net 1.1, grab the .net 1.1 installer from MS and the .net 1.1 sp1 installer. Install .net 1.1. Reboot. Install 1.1 sp1. Reboot. Let windowsupdate install the security hotfix. Reboot.

.net 2.0 is already included with Vista and 7. If you are running XP, check whether it's already installed - check through your control panel. If not, install 2.0 as well.

(*) For some people, DDO runs fine with or without the security hf. For some others, it only runs with the security hf installed. For some others, it only runs if the security hf is NOT installed. It's rather confusing, and quite vexing. I'd start by letting windows update install that hf and then see whether DDO works. If it does, you're good to go. If it doesn't, try uninstalling the security hf again.
