So, I started a new character with the intent of doing the Exploiter build, although I was unsure about the AC portion...

Evidently, I did Chaotic Good, so I can't take the monk level, even if I wanted to.

I'm not that far in, but I'm not really that into the idea of rerolling (I like to create "good characters", but they don't have to be perfect min-max. Also, I don't have as much play time as some people, so losing the time I've put in represents maybe the amount of time I have for an alt for a week, maybe a week and a half.)

So, I could go 19rng/1rog, 18rng/2rog (advantages: Meh? higher haggle? could get evasion next level by delaying Tempest. Doesn't seem that great.), 18rng/1rog/1barb (advantages, 1/rest rage and increased run speed...), 18rng/1rog/1ftr (Bonus feat is about it there.), or 18rng/1rog/1sorc (to get arcane wands without worrying about UMD check and a small bump in SP (yes, I know I won't get double from items.). Does that work for scrolls also? I suppose I could get Wizard and get extend for my buffs instead.)

Whatcha think? Personally, I'm leaning towards 18rng/1rog/1sorc I think, but (as you can see) I can see advantages to each...

Reroll, even if you made it all the way to lvl 13, when you were about to take monk i would reroll.

Spending another week or 2 (depending on play time) redoing your toon is worth it for having a better toon that you will play for years at high lvl.

Think about it, 6 months down the road when your high lvl and you actually have the toon you want, will spending an extra few weeks from rerolling matter too much?

Trust me, i know what im talking about, reroll. Even if you spend an extra two weeks getting back to where you are now, you will spend a lot longer past this point. Monk isnt just about ac. You dont splash monk and all of a sudden your ac is 20 points higher.

Monk gives you +2 to all saves, and a much needed feat, as well as a nifty little ac bonus. Its huge. There is no other 1 lvl spash that can come anywhere near this (which is why everyone crys that its broken.)

What about stats? Mine are a little different from the "base" ones in the Exploiter thread. I think 17str/13dex/14con/12int/13wis/8cha

I think that's right. Any huge gotcha's in there I'm not getting?
