The point of dwarven axes on the original axesinger build was the extra racial bonuses Dwarves get for using Dwarven axes. Halflings don't get that bonus so the DPS would be quite a bit lower if you try to copy the axesinger build.

You could adapt it to Elf fairly easily and use scimitars for respectable DPS.
Please split the class forums into REAL subcategories this is a jumbled mess.

14 str is a bit low and also without the enhancement it will be pretty weak...

Gotta agree with the others. Dwarven Axes in the hands of anything other than a dwarf are something less than spectacular. As was pointed out above the build would be very viable as an elf with scimitars though.

    Good Luck

I think the halfling version would actually do more dps any time you can sneak attack if you fit in the khopesh feat and guile/cunning. I think you'd be pretty enhancement starved though as guile/cunning is expensive. But for dps I'd say halfling probably wins there. The advantage to the dwarven version is its resiliency. Plenty of racial toughness enhancements, cheap line of save vs. spells enhancements, extra ac from dex bonus, and an extra 2 con make for a very durable character. For me being more durable is more important than the ac...you can wade into fights and not worry nearly as much as the halfling would worry.

My only warning on the dwarven version is the useful ac is VERY gear dependent. You basically need mithril armor and a very good +dex item before those dwarven armor dex enhancements come into play. If you can get the items together you have passable tank armor for normals (and enough to at least come in to play on hard and maybe elites), tank-like saves, and very good hp's. The halfling by contrast isn't going to be worried about those things and so is probably going to be easier to gear for its sole purpose of dps while having good songs and passable self-buffs.

Str is too low @ 14 start.

I would look at 15 bard/3 rogue/2 figher instead of your 16/2/2 you dont gain anything from 16 bard but (1) more lv 5 spell (which are pretty craptastic to begin with) vs. 3rd level rogue give you more SA damage.

Also: lv 19 seems too long of a wait for your DR song. My axesinger is currently lv 12 and is a kick to play. (8/2/2 currently) Even with a 32 point build and saving all my TP's to buy a +2 everything tome, with a standing Cha @ 20 (12 base + 2 tome + 5 item +1 enhancement) equiping a Pear of power X he has 400 sp exactly. He has enough SP to keep the basics on himself (displacement/focus enchant/rage/blur/haste) barely.... Thank goodness for +3 barkskin posts/planer gird and good hope cookies

I have a lvl 16 version of this build as a halfling and I'm having the time of my life. I have around 340 hp and about 510 sp. With dual burst kopeshes, no OTWF and with power attack on I'm hitting at dual 33's. Which is not great but not bad either. I have no problem leading in kill count (YES I CARE ABOUT THAT) on Elite GH. I always have people sending me tells about my build, I guess when you get 120 kills in Madstone Elite people ask how.

I basically followed axesinger's build (Thank you for that) with minor tweaks. Of course now that the Rabidly halfling build has come out I would follow that. And Yes lvl 19 is way too long to wait for DR song.
