True Reincarnation questions

Is it really worth the time? 2 points more than a 32 point build seems like a lot of effort (of course, if you have maxed out the rest, I guess that becomes NA.)

I ask because I am considering doing it with my L15 wiz - an original 28 point build that I was considering restarting anyway. But I hadn't intended on leveling up to 20.

Another question. If you reincarnate wiz to wiz, is that better than shifting professions, or should you shift professions?

Wiz to Wiz to Wiz is probably one of the best reincarnation options currently, as it results in +4 to spell penetration. Anyone who uses crowd control spells knows they need to take both spell pen feats, so reincarnating twice from a wizard is like getting those 2 feats for free. This either frees up 2 feats for you for the same results, or gets you that much closer to no-fail spell pen checks on even the highest spell resistance in the game.

True Reincarnation is worth it if you have a level 20 character who you very much enjoyed leveling up, and wouldn't mind leveling again.
I reincarnated my monk a few days ago, and it's been a blast.

Monk-monk is a very beneficial reincarnation, as they gain +1 to all damage, in addition to an increased unarmed damage die.

I had a L16 cleric/pali, my original 28 pt build for the game. She was great at low levels but just didn't hold up as well as I'd like past GH. I build a new 32 pt cleric with all the knowledge of the game I had gained over the past couple years and she blew my original cleric out of the water. It just wasn't as much fun to play her anymore.

When TR came out I got some XP pots and levelled her quickly to 20. She's now a 34pt FvS and I love her again. Oh sure, a fresh 32pt build would have been almost as powerful and not needed 65% more XP, but they wouldn't have had GS, the hound set, and other bound gear waiting for them to help with the levelling either.

TR is fun once you grow back into your uber gear...

I was happy once I hit lvl 9 and could drag out the VON and titan gear.

Lvl 11 with DQ loot was even better.

I think the question is more about your play style...
Can you deal with the XP grind again? At least the loot grind isnt as a big of a deal this time around.


PS: I plan to TR my main at least a second time to get the 36, Sorc-Sorc and then maybe wiz or FvS

I'm still working on getting to my DQ+gear...but that is almost irrelevant really.
At level 11 (items) or 12 (weapons) it's all about the Greensteel baby.

i had something weird happen on mine last night (callon from sorc to pally). i went through the jeets tutorial for the first time ran every quest on normal and was on the sunny side. i went to the bank, got geared up and came back to korthos. i was like, hmm, i'll pug a few quests just to see how he compares with the normal builds.

the problem was i was only eligible for snowy side LFMs. i tried to join a sunny side LFM and got called various synonyms for idiot when i was trying to figure out if it was a bug, or not. so i just solo them through elite and log.

i logged on this morning and now all i see is sunny side stuff. there is something severely jacked up about that korthos code.
