For a low int fighter who has limited skill points? If I leave my int at 8 I get 2 skill points to spend (human fighter) My first priority would be Intimidate and heal I would think

dont put points into heal, its one of hte most useless skills in game
put 1 into intimidate and 1 into balance each level, it is important

Balance directly effects how long you stay on your a$$ when you get knocked down. So, the faster you get up(the higher you balance skill), the less of a beating you take.

There are no stupid questions, but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots KHYBER
And balance is especially important in situations where u may want to go S&B....Heavy Full Plate + Tower Shield equals huge penalty to physical skills.
Heal isn't useless, per se... it's just that Balance is so much more important. The Heal skill does two things for you:
1) It increases the number of hitpoints you get back for resting at a shrine... but only one member of the party has to have a high Heal skill and be nearby while you're resting to get the boost.
2) It improves your chances of stabilizing a dying teammate. However, it's generally better to carry a Cure or Aid clicky to use on such people since it doesn't require a roll, as any healing automatically stabilizes them (assuming it doesn't get them on their feet).
Since those two things are usually easy to mitigate against, Heal is really a low-priority skill for anyone.
