Lockup after around 20 minutes play

Hi guys,

This may be an easy fix for some of you tekkies: After around 20 minutes of play, my screen locks up. Often, the mouse pointer doesn't lock, and for awhile I can usually hear sound. Sometimes it unlocks after around 30 sec, but always locks up again once or twice before it locks up for good and I have to force a restart CTRL+ALT+DEL won't work in this scenario), which is never good. Funny thing is, this didn't happen at all during my first 2 or 3 weeks on.

I have a year old higher end Dell laptop with gobs of room on the hard drive, and I'm running XP Pro. I have Norton antivirus, although I do disable the firewall before I log on.

Any ideas?

I'm running XP Pro. Intel Core Duo 1.9G Processor. No black flashes before lockup. Defragged volume last night. No better, no worse.
