Stupid Greater Command ... need advise

Ok, things are going great, I bust into the boarded room, I have my rage and frenzy going... I am two hitting the monsters, I see casters behind them. I immediately jump to them, only to be greater commanded to the floor and left for dead. Now if this happened once in a while no biggie, but it happens WAY WAY WAY to often.

I am fairly new to this game, so my question is... is there anything that will prevent greater command? If so, what quest, and how do I get it.

Try to get more will saves. One helpful item (if you can get to it) is the helmet from the quest "A Relic of a Sovereign Past" which gives +5 will saves as well as +2 wisdom (which gives another will save). I'm sure others will post other items to get.

If you're a dwarf, you can also get the dwarven spell defense, which will also increase your save vs will spells such as greater command.

Also, there's the barbarian willpower enhancements, which increase your will saves when raged.

Just a will save or spell resistance.

Protection from evil will make you immune to command... there is a trinket that has it on all the time, or buy a lot of pots, or a clickie.

Prot evil won't make you immune to command. But will provide +2 saves versus it, if the caster of it is evil (almost all casters that use it are)

Other good buffs taht stack with that one:
Stalwart pact, Prayer or Reciation - all provide luck bonuses to saves.
GH - morale bonus

Other then that, get you wisdom up and wear the higher +resist item you can find.

If your a warforged that started 6 wisdom, your in trouble.. Thats why I recommend at least 9-10 wis.

There is one very rare item that gives a huge boost against it ho: Belt of Tongue, +6 to enchantment saves that stacks with everything, and command is enchantment.

Break enhantment can remove it from you if a friendly caster happens to keep that spell loaded

Stupid Greater command? or was it that you failed your save? Bet you don't complain if a member of your party casts it, and puts all those bad guys on their butts.... Greater Command is Awesome,as long as it's being cast by me or a party member.... My Dwarf fighter hates it however when it happens to him.....

funny thing happened, i hit lvl 14 and got that will feat and now i actually make saves, whoot whoot.

and to answer the other question, hell yeah i love greater command, just not when i am the target.

Barbarians automatically get the class feat "Indomitable Will" at level 14. It Gives 4 additional will save while raging.

You could always keep a couple of Owl's Wisdom potions on hand and chug one before engaging casters. Getting 75 favor with House P lets you buy 30-minute buffs and I do believe one of the available buffs is Owl's Wisdom.

Either Protection from Evil the spell, or Freedom of Movement blocks it. I've been out in Reavers and I never get greater commanded until I get dispelled first.

If it is the PfE spell, then it has to be the spell version of it, not the necklace or trinket. If it's FoM, the jester has plenty of cookies to give away that have that on them.

As someone previously mentioned spell resistance is the #1 easiest defense to obtain against command. If you pug alot and find that your cleric(s) do not have this spell loaded up I suggest you buy some scrolls of spell resistance or, if your clr is level appropriate mass spell resistance (higher base SR) and hook up the pugger with one or two to toss out during the quest.
