WHY join a Guild anyway?

at this point and time I'm still waiting for some one to give the location of this Black list. I have ask many people about it and non have seen it so I truly think YOUR BLACK LIST is on the paper you wrote or in your mind. it truly is a shame that this list if it is out there is even there who checks it to see if the person that put you on it is not just a JERK?

Most of my requirments for a guild are mainly just about looking for a community of regular players that are compatible with my time zone and maturity.

Its also good to be part of a community that are of mixed experience levels. So you can enjoy playing the game with others who are in a similar position to you, but also have experienced players available to answer questions or help form a party.

Er... a Black list is never something public, you'll never be able to see it. And since they are often just made up of peoples opinions they arnt too reliable anyway.

Most of the time an individual, or guild gets onto these lists because someone has a personal dislike often stemming from some internet mis-understanding.

My problem is I game with a buddy regularly, same day of the week, same time window. Our other buddy had to drop out, so now we are in the situation of needing to find another player. Reading over this thread, it seems joining a guild is the way to go.

However, HOW do you find a guild that suits you? By that I mean I am an older player and have played D&D in one format or another for over 20 years. I don't want to play with 11 year olds that panic when their HP drop to 50% or run around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Thanks that's just what I thought, I keep seeing people threaten players with black listing I do wish that the people saying or posting things like that would GROW UP but I also understand that there is some adults that are not very strong in mental ability it is a shame thy rune the game for a lot of folks.
