    Default My fighter/paladin/rogue reincarnation

    So this is for when I finally reincarnate: just looking for some suggestions or for people to point out some fatal flaws. I think I worked out most of the kinks. It's designed to be a 3-part build: Intimitank, DPS, and Utility. The fighter and stalwart enhancements make it primarily an intimitank build, and intimidate is more or less maxed. The twf feats allow me to significantly increase my dps for when I don't need to tank. The Rogue gives me the umd I need more or less to cast most spells I'll need from scrolls and to use wands of stuff.

    Some notes with the builder... To accommodate for the 34/36 point builds that will eventually come into play, I put the two points into charisma as a +2 tome at first level. Actually at 34 points I'll probably put the points into dex to avoid using +2 tomes. I also had to 'eat' a +3 dex tome at some point because the builder didn't like me having the dex from the enhancement to count towards the twf feat. At any rate, I should not need anything more than a +2 tome (which I have from favor) in the end build. Any other tomes I get are just gravy.     The primary issues I'm having are as follows:
    1) UMD might not be high enough: 23 ranks + 8 cha bonus + 6 (shroud item)=37 umd. Ideally I'd like to bump this up to be able to cast heal scrolls, and even though it's 90% at this point (40 umd check for level 6 spells I think) I'd like to bump this up.
    2) I have not yet decided on the usefulness of the following feats: mobility+spring attack, and shield mastery +imp shield mastery. I am fairly certain I will not be needing mobility and spring attack, since I can try going for greater and superior weapon focus from fighter levels (incidentally, does greater weapon focus stack with weapon focus or does it override it?) I am also thinking about getting skill focuses in either umd which may solve problem 1 or intimidate if it's needed. Also, inspection of my other feat choices is welcome.

    Add the head of good fortune to your umd calc and that puts you at 39 which is enough for no fail heal scrolls. Also +3 for deleras necklace, or +5 for titan gloves.

    The reason I didn't throw in HoGF, cartouche, or titan gloves in the calculation was because I'm not planning on using those items all the time. So I could use the heal scrolls but not very effectively in mid-fight without switching gear. I'm also on the fence regarding shield master and improved shield mastery. Is the 6 DR worth the two feat slots? What other feat choices would be better? My current choices are: (shield mastery+improved shield mastery), (mobility+spring attack), (luck of heroes+iron will), (stunning blow + improved trip).

    you will find it difficult casting in combat regardless of gear switching due to concentration checks, besides equiping the hogf to hit a heal scroll is very minor.

    you are going to want somedps feats as well as ce if you are going to be tanking.

Charisma is pretty useful to me though I don't think the difference between +7 and +8 bonus would be too bad. I'll still be able to get around 450-500 hp with a 12 con though. I also have several +2 con tomes which might help.

    If you want to tank at the highest levels, you are going to want at least over 600 hp when stanced.

    Made a couple of changes here since I realized that the paladin aura enhancements applied to creatures of all alignments, not just evil ones. Also put in a +2 con tome since I have several of them already.

    This leaves me with 324 hp with no items on. +60 from a +6 con item, +50 from a superior false life item, +40 from the defensive stance (I think stalwart II gives a +4 bonus to str and con, not sure tho), +45 from a shroud item, and +20 from a minos legens. This seems to set me at around 550 hp. The issue with me exchanging cha for con is that I don't know what to do with the remaining two stat points as I'll have 14 con and 14 cha, which means that unless I get a +3 tome in either con or cha, there's going to be an odd stat point. I figure if I can get a +2 cha tome and a +3 con tome, I can throw the remaining 2 points into con to make it turn out even, which equates to another +40 hp.

    if you have +2 tomes, lower cha and int to 12, all points in con. horoth does a disintegrate for 480-520. his badges average 50. his attacks are rated at about 70-90

    I've given your advice about the con some thought, but I think that if I make a greensteel purely for tanking purposes I can probably hit 600 hp or higher with it. For now, I'm going to try the first reincarnation with 12 con, but if it becomes an issue during the first reincarnation I'll drop Strength to 14 instead of cha, since it's still mostly a primarily defensive minded hybrid, and 1 to-hit and damage is a smaller sacrifice than losing 1 to all saves, some useful skills, some loh healing, and some smite ab. Besides, I have a +2 str tome and a 30 str is probably good enough for all intents and purposes. I used the newer version of the char builder and changed bullheaded to student of the sword, as both give +2 intim, but I'm going to be valuing that extra dex ac over 1 to will saves. I'm also going to swap out skill focus: umd for force of personality, as my cha bonus will be a +8, and that's going to bump my will save out of the ballpark (for a fighter at least). So here's the newest version, possibly subject to some modification.

    If I find the need to I'll drop starting strength to 14, and perhaps int to 12 (depending on whether I can consolidate the loss of skill points as I like to have some ranks in open lock at least, but I have a feeling I'll leave int at 14 since I like the skill points) and raise con to 15/16. If I manage to snag myself a +3 con tome I'll just drop strength and raise con to 15 (which would make an 18 base con with the tome, and a 24 con with an item)

    i'd drop the intel lower as suggested above most of the locks in the game can be done without too much investment put 4 points in at first level 24 dex is +7 +15 item+2 skillboost maybe 1 from the enhancment line and your at 29 with no buffs , tools or a d20 roll yet head of good fortune +2 gh +4 bard song +2 shroud item +6 dex skills your looking at 43 before a roll or tools thats plenty.

    Personally if a thing can be done and i can use buildpoints elsewhere thats my choice.

    I would drop something else. I wouldnt go any lower than 15 on str.

    Thanks for the feedback guys. I think my best bet is going to be to get a set of +3 tomes so I can have 15 str/con/cha and use the tomes to even them out.
