    Default How can I max my AC as a 2 weapon fighter?

    right now when wielding 2 swords I have a 28 ac and 416hp. I am wearing +5 adamantine full plate. I have a dex of 24 buffed ( I think).

    Any advice is appreciated

    Carry barkskin,shield, and haste pots that should give you +6 or so or run with a highlevel ranger, paladin, cleric, and haste monkey that should give you about 12 more or so also your not getting full effect from your armor since the dex bonus is cap'd isnt it? wear mithril

    24 Dex with Adamantine Full Plate is pretty pointless,switch over to a Robe and get some Armored Bracers,+8 would be best obviously(I don't think +10 are available yet).

    no. Get +5 mithral or dt.

    Well,even with Mithral and the Fighter Armor Enhancements wouldn't the Dex still be capped and use up a whole 12 APs?

    Then again maybe that minor loss of Dex AC makes up for the mere +8 from Bracers,not to mention you can't wear a Chaosgarde that way,maybe I'm wrong then,still learning,sorry.

    Uses bracer slot for most of ac so no switching to levikks if desired. No versatility with IR. Saves a few AP to go with robes. Even better imo is:

    15 DTFP
    04 dex
    02 cg
    _________
    21 with three slots to add things to.


    This is only the first two enhancements. More avail if dwarf or Defender as well.

    going robes is only good if you are a non SD/DoS with 26 min dex. if you are a SD/DoS, an even higher break even dex is needed

    Hmm that makes a lot of sense,though the Dex bonus would be +7 from 24,raising the Robe set to 19,which doesn't really matter much I guess.

    I'm not quite sure what "IR" stands for,so I'll hold my speculations for now,hopefully someone could clear up what it means.

    TY for the red ink thats not red Cant add well in raids :P

    IR is Icy Rainments. +4 dodge is basically how it stacks. Though it has a pro bonus and resistance bonus. Typically the way to go for robers and ac.

    Ah now I see,well that clears things up a lot,looked it up and it's pretty much the highest AC Robe you can get so there's nothing else for me to add.

    I've learned a good deal from this thread,thank you!

    P.S.:Looked up a bit and +5 MFP with Fighter Armor whatchamacallit Enhancement it's supposed to be +1 base,+2 Mithral,+3 Enhancement,so +6 Dex bonus total isn't it?

    Or am I missing something again?

    enhancements
    fighter armor mastery II (+3 to max dex armor bonus)
    stalwart defender stance, ac+4, saves+, str/con+
    stalwart defender +3 ac, +2/3 for max armor/shield dex bonus



    Feats
    dodge +1 ac
    combat expertise (requires int 13) +5 ac/ -5 to hit

    Dragon touch armor - try to get insight, protection, or natural armor on it.

    protection item, +5

    alchemical ritual on armor +1

    some other items like chaos bracers and some dodge items, that stack and are easily obtainable over hard to grind raid gear.

    barkskin pot for natural armor +3

    Using just some of this stuff (no dragontouch yet) my 13th level fighter is able to drink a barkskin pot and have a 49 AC while 2 weapon fighting.......before buffs.
    Other buffs to bring that up
    +5 pally aura
    +4 bard song
    +1 haste
    +2 ranger barkskin (2 more than pot)
    ----------------------
    61 ac two weapon fighting at 13th...



    UMD can help to get you a blur and displacement scroll going...as well as a nightshield for magic missile. Scroll or wand of stoneskin and resists helps too.

    hope this helps.

    i would use shield as it gives +4 ac and immunity to mm

    more importantly, if anyone is going to build a primary twf, it should be a kensai
