Please RENAME Exceptional Shards.

This is a simple (yet sad) request.

After Level 12, the shard needed to change any feats is named: Exceptional Suberys Dragonshard.

Now folks think this is some "exceptional" item - and are charging 1,000,000 for this on the Auction House.

Poor people (like me) are stuck for fixing our gimped characters as we now cannot afford these prices. (I need 2!!)

And FRED insists we give him these silly things.

Please either rename these to "boring" or "useless" or "trash"... (you get the idea)... or make them slightly easier to acquire. Dont PUNISH us for not being able to FIX our already troubled avatar lives. (Playerbase should be kept happy - not sad!)

Have you tried doing the quest by lockania (spelling correct?) in the marketplace she gives you a free feat exchange per character.

I bet it would be easier to grind points and buy it from the DDO store than to try earning it in-game.

Personally, I think that at MOST, you should only have to work your way to a regular Siberys Dragonshard in-game. Anything higher than that is just not worth it. Period. Even then, you probably will be better off just grinding for points at the DDO store.

If you spot your mistakes earlier, of course, it will cost you less. I was fortunate enough to swap out whatever feats I didnt want at the time(I felt that I took maximize spell too early, so I got toughness instead), because if I didnt, I would be stuck with these feats the rest of my worthless character life until I grinded in the DDO store for these points.

But overall...meh, idk, its hard to get the shards above normal siberys dragonshards, but...ill just be neutral on this one.

Sadly, that was already done a long time back. Making a quad-class hybrid takes some tweaking around - and so some mistakes do occur over time. What we think is a useful feat earlier on - can become a burden at later levels when we realize the limitations our build is imposing upon us.

I keep forgetting which is which and when you see them all lined up on the AH I think it would help people from buying the wrong type.

Arcane Archer/Kensai/Frenzied Berserker/Warchanter.

Though that's not the greatest class split ever, to say the least. Perhaps a different Bard PrE, or Stalwart Defender could be substituted in there as well (Or Rogue/Paladin in place of Bard/Barb, now that I think about it).

No, that's entirely correct at the typical price for the base shards. A normal dragonshard is 100k, and this is 10 of them combined...

Amusing, but the problem isn't the name, the problem is how incredibly rare of a random drop these things are. There have been multiple posts about this in the past and it doesn't look like they are ending soon.
