    Default M3: Hamster Drowned

Alright, so I don't really have a hamster, and nobody drowned, but a tragedy involving water did occur recently. I'll give you the bare-bones version of it so you don't have to spend the whole night reading:

A main water pipe in my house burst, and my entire kitchen flooded. my bedroom (housing my computer), though I tried to salvage it, was also damaged. Water literally seeped through the walls (much like blood seeps through Mustardo's enemies) and soaked my closet, my bathroom, and probably would have taken the rest of my house if I hadn't barricaded the water with everything I could use. Bedsheets, clothing, and doggie pads all fell to the ravenous onslaught of the inexorable tide.

Alright, so. Long story short, M3 is done. For now. I don't know how long it will take for them to fix my house (the damage is pretty severe), but it will probably be in the realm of two months. My mother was kind enough to lend me her laptop so I could keep doing my routine internet things, and soon enough (once the download's finished) keep on playing DDO. Maybe I can throw up the odd strip now and then from the laptop, but it won't be reliable until I'm safely back in my home.

About that... I'm in a hotel right now. It's not exactly five-star, but it's nice enough and it allows pets. My dog is crying at my feet because she likes to complain. I get free wireless high-speed internet, which is a necessity for my self-proclaimed geeky self. If they put some mountain dew in the fridge for me, it'd be heaven.

So, yeah. That's pretty much it. 'Till next time (whenever that next time is), Mustardo out.

To be honest, this is the first time I ever even heard of you and M3... However, you have my sympathies... Such a mess, such a disaster this close to the holidays... not fun.

Water can be as destructive as fire at times, and even if the flood is over the damage might not show up for months yet.

Good luck, and hope everything goes smooth and quick to get you home...

Sorry to hear about that. As someone who's gone through two floods that left me and my wife without an apartment twice in the past, I know what kind of damage water can cause. Totally sucks! Your precious stuff will never quite be the same (it's like the flood water embeds itself at a molecular level or something.)
