Default help with human build please

I'm looking to run something that sacrifices a little bit of dps, not really noticable IMO, for full ranks of Human Recovery and high DR and this is what I came up with. I screwed a couple things up in the planner I already know, but I'm really just looking for advice in the enhancements I chose:

    Code:

Don't dump stat every single stat except str and con. Makes your character far too wear versus casters.
Enhancement setup is poor. Just check out my Dwarf guide and replace the Dwarven enhancements for the human recovery and your set. (mainly you shouldn't bother with DR boost III, and should get 1-2 ranks of the passive DR instead as it's nearly the same amount for less AP)

Minimum stats on ANY Barbarian imo:
    Dex: 12
Wis: 10 (8/9 on Dwarf can work as they get massive bonuses to saves, humans do not)

Any lower and your saves will be too low. And the heavy cost of 18 con is not worth it.
14/15 con is plenty for human.

Alignment: True Neutral is better these days.

    Otherwise its fine.

I just want to second what shade said. I been running a Human Barb as my main for over 3 years and only started with a 14 con and I always been quite comfortable with my HP count.

    I actually went 18 str /14 con / 14 dex (28 point build).

I went chaotic good but if I made one today I properly would go true neutral.

At end game I really not had any problems with my will save and it debatable the extra +1 reflex save have saved me from taking more damage from spells then the extra 1 will save would have. I actually stopped using a wisdom item at all since it seem so un often any will save spell affects me. I do carry one just in case I can equip if needed.

I will say getting to 20 dumping wis or even at 20 without decent equipment is much more painful then when I originally leveled this char back when the level cap was 10. Also getting will save to 11 without equipment is very useful for using silver flame pots these days. I got lucky and a 20th multiple completion awhile back I got a +3 wis tome and I switch to a ring of unknown origins for other 2 stats when I use the pots.

It would be a coin toss for me almost weather I go 10 wis or 14 dex if I started a human barb now.

Just some thoughts from my personal experiences.

I'll chime in here as well. I followed Shade's build and my Dwarf Barb is now level 20 and extremely well rounded. I just wish I went True Neutral instead of Chaotic Good. Oh well .

Go for a 15 con on him. Use human adapt con on him it unlocks racial toughness3. It saves points you can use to beef up dex and wis.
Toons are in a constant state of flux. Khyber server.

You guys seem like ur very good at this game but i must say. stop inforcing ur preferences on others. let the man have a human barbarian if he wants. they arent that big of a difference that he will have trouble if he goes the human route. I recently made a barb who is now lvl 8 and he owns and actually ended up with more health than a dwarf. surprisingly it all depends on the player and not te build. As for the OP its really up to you man. if you like humans more, go human cause you dont wanna get him to a high lvl and realize the reason your not having fun is because you took a race you dont like that much. All im saying is make a human if you want cause they are good too and if you have to take peoples advice on states and feats only cause they probably know what they are talking about. dont listen to preference cause not everyone likes what you like......Hope i helped

    Default neutral

being neutral makes you immune to unholy damage,at the cost if not being able to use good aligned weapons

Just a thought on ur original premise...

You are sacrificing DPS for better recovery but (and im assuming ur going Frenzied Bezerker) you are simultaneously damaging yourself... I thought about this option as well for a slightly easier time of self healing... but in my mind it just wasnt worth it.

Barbs are better at being backed up by a healer as their massive HP allow for very little micro management on the healers part. This is where a barbarian shines over less hardy DPS classes. U can keep going and going and going even through the frenzy and be easily popped up with the odd heal. WF for best DPS or Dwarf for second with better saves.

If U want the healing amp for soloing purposes Id suggest fighter or even better a heal based pali with sp regen items (torque/conc op abbot gloves, memnonic clickies etc) and you can go all day long.
