Default Two weapon fighting/Dual wielding. Difference?

As title suggests- I'd like information on whatever feats/enhancements/racial options in regards to the best way to hold and swing two weapons effectively.

I know a lot of ppl think OMFG, I'ma gunna swing two weapons and uber DPS everything in sight! Banzai!" without actually looking at the numbers and seeing what benefits/sacrifices are involved.

The title was a little misleading, felt like you were asking what was the difference from Two weapon fighting and Dual wielding. Which the answer would be they are the same, unless you were talking about Two handed fighting and dual wielding.

Getting the feats TWF, Imp TWF, Greater TWF, and if you choose to use a non-light offhand then get Oversized TWF. That will help you lower the negatives you receive. Also if you want to raise your hit get Weapon Focus with the weapon you like using the most. Or if you're a dex build go with Weapon Finesse and use Light weapons / Rapiers.

    Argo: Saveric(18Pal/2Ftg), Daehawk(20Wiz), Syverious(13Rog/6Rng/1Ftr), Katasuki(8Mnk)

Ah, I was asking what the difference was in the title, because I thought there was one. I currently only play Clerics, so I am really not up on melee type feats... perhaps I was thinking Two handed fighting and dual wielding and my brain got mixed up while titling the thread.

Your response suggests that there is a difference between two *handed* fighting and dual wielding and I believe that is what I would like to know more about.

(It's tough learning when you don't know the questions you need to ask, lol)

Two Handed Fighting is using one weapon in both-hands. So, Greatsword, Greataxe, Falchion, Quarterstaff, etc.
