    Default Dwarf or WF ??

I'm interested in building a kensei fighter using a great axe.

Am I better off going with dwarf for the Axe enhancements?

Am I better off going with WF for the Great weapon Aptitude enhancements?

    In the end which better?

Really, I think that either one is great. It just depends on what you want to play. WF for the extra immunities is great and dwarf for the extra constitution/dwarf resistances is also great.

I have one of each and twf kensai and a greataxe dwarf so, do the same.....roll one of each. You can play through Korthos in an afternoon on each and then you can see for yourself. Or, just keep both for a little different flavor.

You will probably spend more on pots with the WF but with Healer's Friend II, you never really notice.

I don't think you can go wrong either way but, I lean more toward my WF. Just my opinion though.

Wf'd will do more damage overall imo. Plus you get the immunities and versatile healing.

Ya at low levels (pre-raiding) you can have parties where neither the arcane nor the cleric will be healing you. Very versatile! LOL

j/k, it was that way earlier in the game but there isn't so much WF hate now. At least among vet players, not sure what leveling new WF in pugs these days is like.

Yeah i guess. I dont usually worry bout healing at low levels, so i wouldnt know. but this could be the case. Many people seem to look at wf'd as mana sponges, but reality is they can easily get their healing close to that of an unamp'd fleshie. Add to that they can be repaired by arcanes and I think you have a class that heals better then fleshies

Also, WF get the WF power attack enhancements, which, cumulatively, give 1 more damage than the axe enhancements for a one handed weapon, and 2 more for a two-hander. Also, whereas Dwarves tend to stick to their axes, WF use khopeshes, which deal more damage.

While this is true, the OP planned to use GA either way. Though I like the dual wielding Kensai myself
