well there are some places my paladin uses his bow I have on him. Like ADQ2 he has a +5 Metalline PG Longbow I switch to for bow against her. So it never hurts to have a nice bow back up when needed. And who knows, maybe one day they'll get around to fixing the ranged dps since it lacks below melee from what I've heard.
