DDO cards for TP points???

I was shopping with my friend who plays a free mmo and we where at a wal-mart when he said he wanted to pick up a game card for his online mmo. When i said to him "Why don't you use your credit card online to buy the store points??" then he told me, "Why should I have to give a free base mmo my credit card information??". That got me think why don't Tubrine do that???

I'm not sure if it is an option in the states or elsewhere but in Canada you can buy a prepaid "credit card" from Visa and use that. It is effectively a gift card for any store that accepts Visa. I'm not certain they would work with Turbine/DDO but an RL friend will be trying in the next few weeks and I'll report his experience. Though perhaps someone already has experience with these types of cards.

DDO had game cards at first and at walmart people were scraping them off and stealing the code dad had to take 2 back they had poor packaging and were well thought out.

I really think they need to revisit this. They're missing out on a lot of money this holiday season. I know several people in my guild that desperately want to get Turbine Points for Christmas (I'm one of them), but can't convince people to do it since it's such a hassle.

I know, someone could just buy a pre-paid Visa and say "here, this is for you to buy Turbine Points", but in my experience, most people (including my wife) don't like to do that. They want to give you something "real" that represents the gift itself, not just money.

They've had my card information since '05 and I can assure you, I've never had charges from Turbine that weren't authorized by me. This isn't some rag-tag outfit somewhere in Singapore. Turbine is a trustworthy, reputable company.

its probrably not so much an issue of putting it on there credit card, its the lack of a credit card. like my situation i dont have credit cards and would like to use game cards instead. i pay for VIP this way but it sometimes is a hassle with them having computer errors. it took me aproxx a week to get my VIP back online and to get my points.

i can assure you that the number of credit card fraud cases in singapore is much lower than in US both in number and in %
