Angry Stuck In A Brown Haze

My character cannot view anything but a brownish haze and the "in-game" sounds have stopped working after dying and returning to my pub. The menus and shortcut bars all work but I cannot see where I'm going or zoom in or out. The intro music plays, etc. I've reset everything and restarted the program but the problem persists. It's like I've rematerialized inside a wall or someone's head.

    Default OK But Wait

The brown haze finally cleared up this afternoon. But, after completing a quest, I tried to re-enter the Wayward Lobster and it happened again. The brown haze is happening when I enter the Wayward Lobster either by way of the door or thru using the '/death' command and/or dying.

Now everything freezes up when I enter any tavern, armory or other interior space but not dungeons. To get out I have to log in from a different PC and exit to an outdoor space. Does anyone know if there is any way to repair the installation. Otherwise, I will uninstall and reinstall.

The TDM (Turbine Download Manager) can repair. People have had varying degrees of success with that - a complete wipe/reinstall may be the easier way.

There have also been reports of certain older graphics cards not working well with up-to-date drivers and DDO, and of course the factory overclock issues on NVidia cards. In case a reinstall doesn't resolve your issue, those may be things to look into.

Installing and running TDM seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks for your help.
