Vulkroom Dervish Robe

Anyone know which quest is needed to land this robe? I looked online and all it says is sands of merchantum?

Go into the desert explorer and head left. I think its a big named drow scorpions chest. Decent stuff throughout there, you can make a nice loot run loop of it.

It's a crappy robe anyway. Barely vendor trash. That +4 AC does not stack with a simple mage armor potion. Also, to make matters worse it is fugly.

It's really not that bad a robe for the level at which it becomes available. It can replace your black widow bracers to make room for Chaosgarde bracers and you don't have to worry about your mage armor running out in the middle of an intense fight, or getting dispelled by that mean ol' beholder that's been bullying you your whole life. Add on a stone of change AC recipe and you have a nice +5 AC armor made available to you right about the time when invulnerability starts becoming far less useful due to enemies using magic weapons.

And I think it looks pretty nice on a halfling.

I'm not convinced any of that AC matters at that level.

Or maybe I'm just ignorant. I guess on a monk it might.

i love this robe and think it looks cool. It's a great way to upgrade 2 AC with chaosguardes. Or just put sTR on your bracer slot.

No armor stacks with mage armor buddy.

It is a very decent robe for a monk at lvl 8.

The map let me straight to him ty. I soloed him at level 9 which I am proud of however no robe or helm =( I even downed a treasure jewel +1

Some people get lucky and get the robe on their first or second try. I've only seen it drop a few times myself.

I looted a ML 10 +1 paralyzing greataxe of pure good from the broker chest the other day. My barb loves it.

People don't value that robe because either they can't take advantage of it (Chaosguardes or like bracer) or by the time they looted it, they got something better. Its relatively cheap on the AH if you are patient. I post stuff on there because its something I think should be used instead of sold for pennies and deleted. Others do that too and we don't care about getting rich. So just check the AH for a while if its not dropping for you.
