    Default Are power items nerfed???

Made up a wiz/sor. Wanted to check some things out. Got him up a few lvls and there seems to be a problem with the power item i have.

It is a trinket (power III), and it is only giving me an extra 38 sp. My understanding was that it was supposed to double if you're a sor...(instead of 30, would of got 60).

I have no other equipment on contributing to sp. My lvls are 5 wiz/ 2 sor.

I checked through out the forums, but I can't seem to find anything on this.

Anyone have any thoughts on what i am missing.

Plz no responds to the wiz/sor multiclass.....just checking some things out....

    Thanks for any input.

A full sorceror recieves double sp. A sor 5 or sor 20 would get 60

Anyone with multiclass sorc or fvs levels recieves a percentage bonus equal to the percentage of their levels that are sorceror/fvs. So, in your case, you are getting 2/7ths of the benefit because only 2/7ths of your levels give double sp from items.

If you were 5/5, you would get 50% extra sp.

This is why the sor/wiz multiclass is a terrible idea.

Spell point items don't give double just because you have a level of sorc... it gives a prorated amont based on your levels of sorc.

    So, 30 points just because it's a Power 3 item, and 8 points because 2 of your 7 levels are sorc (2/7 ~= .28, and .28 times 30 ~= 8)

And its not the only reason why either!

If you do plan on making a wiz/sorc, please start with an 8 base CON and spend feats on repeating X-BOWS.
