Some people you cast spells on, even the unresistable ones, are completely immune to all spells.

The icon that shows up on them when you cast is similar to the shield spell. What are they using to resist stuff? Is it just scarabs or something else that is rechargeable?

If it is a blue shield, its spell resistance.

You'll need to dispel it first or use damage spells exclusively.

No its wasn't the blue glowing circle of SR, it was a shield (immunity I guess). Damage spells don't do a thing. Also I checked the buff list and there was no SR.

Everything, prismatic spray, hold, fireballs, rays (scortch ray...etc) and ottos irresistable dance (which in this case doesn't live up to its name).

The target was a pure lvl 20 barb. Everything that hits shows up the blue shield.

The best solution is to quit pvping......how is you join date 2006 and you cant figure out any reason your spells might not work? Maybe im over analizing, but i mean coe on....its only a short list.....

I can answer both of those in one answer........in 2007 when it was p2p, nobody was playing so I quit.

Now in 2009, its f2p and....still nobody is playing, so there's nothing to do except go to the tavern. I've unlocked pretty much everything on elite (except for some p2p content, and I aint spending money on this game while I wait for Star Wars) and can't make it to 20 because of no groups.

Thanks for the answer Angelus, explains it perfectly. So just hit them 5 times in quick succession then start landing spells (unless they have more than one mantle). Is the mantle the only rechargeable spell absorber?

You cannot have more than one mantle. It is an exclusive item.
