This quest should have been called "Hey, the Pit was popular...wasn't it? Guys? Where are you going?"

It's interesting that this is the solo quest but it will definitely appeal to The Pit, Catacombs crawlers. Don't get me wrong... I had fun for my 30 minutes of jumping sideways to complete it with both optional mobs killed.

I wonder if Keeper had some evil cackles as she moved block ledges outward so that when you jump up and into them... you fall. You have to backup a little and do sideways jumps if you see block above you in the way. Though in some of the cavitied spaces it was sometimes annoying to get a good camera angle. Also... will my double TR'ed warforged even fit in those spaces?

I like the traps going up the spire... it's sad you can't run it in a party so you can laugh as people try to go up.

BUG: Random items in end chests produced L4 loot (at least the end 3 on the top of the spiremid. Guessing this is due to it being a solo quest and solo quest treasure tables have never gone near L19. Look ma, a scepter of power 3!

Yah the loot in the side chests was definitely below par. However, since you can hit the side named and their chests when you first drop in, they could also end up as loot runs. It looked like you could land on a ledge on the initial drop and then take one of the side passages. (Opps - UPON a second look that is wrong, you need to go thru the quest to get back to that secondary shaft) Those named mobs were trivial kills with only a few BB passes to kill. Perhaps the loot is to be secondary, although you did get some EXP for them IIRC. Want to take my Ranger / Rogue in there to see if they can handle the central trap ramp mess.

Since my Cleric was able to make all the jumps, those were not too hard. One thing might be to make some of the runes a little more visiable at first, and even then, it was not clear why you would need to activate them?

It kinda seemed like a Squared off Coal Chamber, with blocks instead of natural ledges.

Overall it was perhaps the most unique and fun of the four prequests. Too bad it is solo only, since I agree, part of the fun would be having others try and succeed or fail on various jumps.

I liked this one a lot, you can tell someone had fun designing it.

Jump distances seemed fine, even my fat cleric could make them in full armor and tower shield with no jump buff on.

    Kudos.

Really enjoyed this quest. Perhaps my favorite. My rogue sadly couldn't beat the Eye of the Titan, so I didn't get to try this with him, but it was still quite fun on my monk. Traps were pretty neat, and it was funny when I thought I was clever by Abundant Stepping to the chests, only to get blasted away.

I didn't really notice about the quality of treasure, but I was really wondering what were in the two locked chests I couldn't get.

Anyway, I could certainly see myself soloing this quest from time to time, just for the experience, and of course, the xp.

I really enjoyed this one. It has similar elements to the Coalescence Chamber and The Pit, but I didn't find this one frustrating, in part because I think the available space for climbing is pretty accurate, with few "invisible" walls. Also enjoyed the side encounters and the awesome tower of traps.

    Default very nice....

I think this quest was great....It was cool having no idea what to do off the bat. I think solo will be tough for a few of our non twitch members. Thank god I have ddo add and am always moving around...as I have good mario skills. In all honesty this will be extremely easy to get like 30 k xp in an hr...solo. Nice job turbine. Keep up the good work.

Actually if you have ever run with me, I am about the least twitch savy player I know. If you take it slow, there are no jumps or climbs that posed an obstacle for a cleric in full plate to make (without Jump spell or pot or haste going). The other three pre quests have no mario stuff to worry about. The final quest is full of it, but is pretty forgiving if you take it slow and steady. This one and the Aspect Crystal one will be mined for EXP I am sure.

*chuckles* I think any quest that comes with jumping puzzles these days is immediately considered to be Keepers work.

That being said, I loved the traps around the center pillar....and the small scripting where the NPC dies trying to disable a trap.

*grin* Knockback gets credit for the monsters and NPCs.

This dungeon started long ago as a test room in which I could learn how to use impulse traps.

I know jumpy content isn't for everyone. The next batch of stuff I'm working on will be less jumpy.

I personally love content that takes place in a true 3D space, always nice to use the vertical as well as the horizontal.

I wouldn't mind seeing some more dungeons designed purely for solo play. Obviously shouldn't be a focus as group play is where DDO shines best, but it's a nice change of pace having high level dungeons I know I could run when noone is around to group with.

You already have the whole inspired quarter for that..

And, from the sounds of it, most of these quests too :P
