KotC and HoD sets

I read previously, somewhere on the threads, both of these sets are buggy. IE HoD does not provide extra damage and KotC set does damage it shouldn't to undead.

Is this still true?

There were bugs with the kotc set; it works fine, dealing 3d6 additional damage

the bug with kotc damage affecting other targets applies to the prc damage, not to the tier 3 set bonus

There are not any bugs that I am aware of with hunter of the dead (the prc does not add damage vs undead, and is not supposed to). I do not know of anyone whos actually taken the prc at high levels to even know if its tier 3 set bonus works

I was the first person to post the bug on the forum and bug reported it .. that was 2 months ago.

What do you think of crafting +20% Healing Amplification on a TOD ring?

If you intend to wear 2 rings, I think it's a pretty superior alternative to a +2 con ring. +2 str should be your first choice, though.

Paladins get too few to-hit buffs to not pick up bonuses to strength whenever they're available. All that +damage rocks, but only when you can hit things.

My choice for a paladin wearing 2 tod rings would be your appropriate set ring + warchanter/kyrian's band (6 cha 1 str). If you're really dead-set on getting cha somewhere else (like using the VoIL on a non-tank build), you could probably go for Kyosho's Band and permit yourself a different shard combo than Existential Stalemate on a shroud item (6 wis 1 str). However, there's no way to get dex/1 str, so those're your only 3 options that don't involve stat duplication. Kyosho's has the added advantage of being part of the best dps ring+neck set if you're a heavy dps build.

I am wearing the chattering ring on my right hand and swap out ring of Thelanis for ToD rings. I have both KotC and HoD rings. I crafted the *ahem* error on my KotC ring.

I already have the Levik's set minus tier 3 so I have +20% Amp already. I prefer to be S/B.

What type of ring combo's do you recommend?

Junts you play like 20 different paladins don't you? Temporarily respec one and tell me if the HoD sets works, i wanna know to update my set bonus guide and can't find a single paladin who has it.

Who knows it might be a massive dmg bonus to make it worth while.

My only toon who has an Ann Velsing's ring is my sorc (6 str, 3 cha :P)

If either paladin ends up with one I might do that, but typically we give them to the sorcs and bards because they make phenomenal caster rings.

IMO Levik's isnt a very big benefit when you are already using your tod set ring: the strength is duplicative. The main benefit of 3x leviks was to get the healing amp and str and ac w ithout using your min2 insight (or grinding insight on dt). I was planning to go back to insight 4 DT+chaosgardes+healing amp 20 on my set ring (I do think healing amp 20 is better than +2 str for my build, but its because I actually carry max/empower heal/quicken). Since I already had cha 6 on my dragontouched, I've since gone on to epic vambraces + min2 insight 4 again for the extra 2 ac. However, I think transitioning out of Levik's is probably a good long-term build plan, especially since there are now competitive ac shields (shield of scorp with +7, for example) and probably going to be more (Epic dragon will probably give us a +6 or +7 tower shield in the Kundarak troopers shield, and epic gianthold has the epic madstone shield..).

If you're a tank build you are probably just using 1 ring, but Healing amp is a completely acceptable alternative if you heal yourself frequently and/or you find that your str is high enough already to hit reliably. I'm wearing epic spectrals, 17 base strength, etc, so I can run power attack even in epic most of the time. Depending on your build YMMV on that particular issue.
