    Default Chest in Necromancer's Doom

Just started playing two weeks ago, though I've been a DnD rpg player for twenty plus years. I noticed a glitch with the treasure chest in the quest Necromancer's Doom on Khortos Island. After rescuing the girl from the cell, I can't open the door leading to the chest. Is it really meant for thieves only or did I miss the key. I only found one key on the guy I killed. Can anyone clear it up? I've played with two different characters on two different servers and had the same problem.

you have to pick the lock on a rogue to get that chest, as with most stuff on korthos while some of it would be ok to have it's not worth losing sleep over. ^_^

Get used to it. There are several quests in the game that have chests and doors that you can't open for one reason or another - most of the time it's locked and you need the open lock skill, or there's a rune with a stat minimum that you don't meet, etc.

Like sirdanile said, don't worry about it too much. You can complete the quest and get the XP and favor just fine, you might just miss out on some stuff you'll end up dumping on a vendor anyway.

Or you can run the quest a second time in a group.

Well gee, what happened to bending bars, and physically forcing the door? Or heck, use my trusty 50' rope I bring everywhere, loop it over the chest, and drag it over to the gate where I can open it!

This adventure plays more like it was some kinda video game.. Oh wait, yeah.

    :-)
