    Default Is Diamond Body bugged?

Ok, I was messing around on my level 11 monk. Now that I'm 11 I should be completely immune to poisons. At least, that's what the monk feat it gave me says. As such I grab my new Detect Secret Doors clicky and head off to farm the rare spawns in Redfang the Unruled. I get to the strength damaging poison room and figure I can take all the time I want to bust stuff and collect everything.

That's when it happened. And this puzzles me greatly. I not only was hit with a poison effect, but it was doing strength damage. Shouldn't Diamond Body be protecting me from poison? I'm suppose to be immune after all. So, is this monk ability bugged?

Log, close game, restart game, it will work properly after that.

Hasnt happened to me ever, but i'v read about that happening, you level or log in and some feats arnt 'active' for whatever reason, relogging fix's.

Thanks for the tip. Was wondering what was going on. Poisons can make a good fight go very very badly.

I've got something similar going on today - my level 19 monk is getting Diseased... I'll give that relogging idea a shot and see if it'll work...

monks aren't immune to all diseases, just mundane ones. Magical diseases such as mummy rot can affect them.

Could we make a wager on that? I have NEVER been afflicted with the mummy rot disease (or any others, be they magical or mundane).

You have gained control over your body's immune system and are now unaffected by all diseases.

Isn't it paladins that get the inferior disease immunity?

Nope, pallys are suppose to be immune all diseases, magical and non. Monks are suppose to be immune to non-magical diseases. Hence why a monk can catch mummy rot or become a lycanthrope.

I have gotten mummy rot on my monk several times. Other diseases I ignore though. Mummy rot is a curse and a disease, thus monks are vulnerable to it.

Mummy rot is two parts. Monks are only affected by the curse portion (which prevents healing). Monks do not suffer ill effects from the disease part (which does ability damage).
