Unhappy Why can't I log on?

I've had no trouble with DDO since I downloaded it in November 2009.

Tonight I tried to start the game with the launcher, and I get the Download option only.

WHY would I have to download the game again? It is still in my C drive.

IF I have to download it again, will I still be able to play my established character?

    PLEASE HELP!!

If its "Turbine Download Manager" (TDM) and its prompting to download DDO again try these steps:

    Open TDM
Where DDO is listed at the bottom, right-click
If its listed choose the "Validate and Repair" option
    Let it cycle through that

Otherwise just uninstall "Turbine Download Manager" via the "Add or Remove Programs" (XP) or "Uninstall a Program" (Vista/Win7) option in the Control Panel and reinstall it via the download link here, it should go ahead and redetect the game installation and run a quick validation on it and then allow you to login.

Be sure to check Spam/Junk Mail folders as well since most email providers do not let external email programs or cell phones download mail flagged this way.
