Lost connection to server, now game doesn't work

Earlier I lost connection to the server, and when i tried to open the game back up (my internet is fine), the turbine manager came up and said validating game or whatever at the bottom. It just stood on 576 kb. I let it sit for several minutes and nothing happened, so i closed and reopened it; same thing. I then decided to uninstall the game and reinstall it. Now on the character screen, the Island download gets stuck at 75.2% and won't progress at all

And now I tried reinstalling the game again. It goes to 1047.2 MB downloaded, then it just stops, and the download time just keeps going up and up and up..

Try going into TDM's options menu (button in the upper left corner) and choosing the "Pause" option and setting it for a 5 min pause or less and then letting it resume after countdown. It should kick it out of the "stuck" state but if it does it again you might need to redo the pause steps again, (also exiting it, waiting a few moments and reopening TDM can help this too).
