    Default Ideas for Implementable Spells

    Enlarge/Reduce:
    (level 1 spell that the duergar in ataraxia etc cast at will)
    The game can obviously handle resizing toons, reincarnated larger players shows it can be done.
    Enlarge adds strength, reduces AC, Reduces Hide ability, reduces reflex save. Also increases your trip dc. and other things that depend on height.
    Reduce adds to your hide ability, reduces strength, adds AC, Adds to your reflex save.



    Arcane eye:


    You possess an eye that can look ahead (and fly) in the dungeon. Press Block to return to body.




    Rainbow Pattern (illusion)


    More advanced hypnotic pattern, bigger area of effect lasts longer and has a chance to stun as the normal fascination.



    Scintilatting Pattern (illusion)

    Even more advanced pattern, can confuse, fascinate, stun and fear.



    Black Tentacles: (conjuration)


    Graphics are in the game, players dont have access to this spell yet, it has a chance to hold and damage creatures in the area of effect



    Confusion (enchantment)


    Basically need to add the "confused" state where you can become feared, fascinated, charmed for 3 seconds. (and normal)



    Song of discord (enchantment)

    Makes all creatures in area of effect become "beserk" . Beserk creatures cannot tell friends from foes.


    Wall of Ice: (evocation)


    Puts up a block of ice, that creatures can damage, when destroyed it explodes in ice shards dealing physical and cold damage.



    Wall of Stone: (evocation)


    Puts up a wall of stone, has big damage reduction, blocks arrows.




    Animate Dead (lv3)


    Lower level version of create undead, Summons Skeletons and/or Zombies. Only castable by non-good clerics. Or any wizard/sorc.



    Telekinesis/Gust of Wind


    Allows you to push things away, modal spell on telekiesis. (push or pull)
    Gust of wind can knockdown foes, and it also blows cloud spells away (doesnt remove them just physically pushes them away from caster).




    Mislead/ Simulcrum/Clone:


    Mislead/Prohect Image: (illusion) Makes an illusionary copy of yourself that your spells come from, you become invisible, all rage caused is targetted on the illusionary copy. The copy has your current health but cannot be healed. once it dies you become visible again. It follows you around like a hireling.
    Clone: (necromancy) Create a clone, When you die, you then possess your clone. (you can only have 1 clone at a time) Clones will follow you but can not do anything but move. (big cooldown on spell)
    Simulcrum: (illusion) Makes a copy of the targetted enemy creature, it is now a CONSTRUCT (and made of ice) (special expensive material component) .which has half the ability and level of the target. cannot be healed. Takes double damage from fire and is immune to cold in addition to the creatures normal ability.




    Prismatic Wall: <evocation>

    Same effects as primsatic spray/ray. For all creatures passing through the wall. (7 saves or so)


    Symbol of Insanity (divination)

    Like other symbols but applies insanity to those failing save (which is a permanent sort of confusion state)


    Animate Objects (transmutation) - bard spell

    (creates chairs, tables, torches, everbright crystals ) that can attack enemies. (only works indoors)


    Mirror Image (illusion)

    Makes a illusionary copy of you that can draw aggro. if hit, it disappears. The copies follow you like hirelings.

    Would be nice to have, though the same (and more!) could be done if they gave more controls over summoned/charmed creatures and hirelings, and gave us the unseen servant spell.

    Interesting idea, would be nice to have something like that to better help protect the casters/healers.

    Also nice feature to draw aggro away from casters.



    The rest seemed a bit redundant, or wouldn't be as useful with the current state/functions of DDO.

    Confusion (and insanity) would be fun, the only thing that needs to be implemented is a charm effect for players.

    I wouldnt make them hurt friendlies, but I'd make it so you're unable to cast beneficial effects on allies, and unable to attack or cast spells directly at enemies. (though you can move around, do stuff to yourself , interact with the environment) Though you could make it so area of effect spells you cast while charmed are now "neutral" affecting both friendlies and foes.


    Being able to push and pull things in the map would be very useful in some instances... why should beholders get all the fun?
