    Default Quick question on DR

Sorry, I tried doing some searching but what I was able to find still left me a little unsure on some of the stacking rules of DR.

In particular, does the innate DR granted by wearing a shield (not blocking) with Stalwart Defender stack with Barbarian innate DR as they are the same type (*/-) and both innate? Or does the higher take precedence just like innate plus an item?

Active (blocking) DR stacks with passive DR. That is pretty much the only rule.
    • If you open your character sheet, it will show you all passive DR.
Only the highest passive DR that applies to an attack is used.
If you see passive DR listed on separate lines, they do not stack.
    • If you open your inventory, it will show your equipped item's active (blocking) DR.
Active (blocking) DR is the listed item's DR plus one half BAB.

Thank you but I don't have a character that can test this particular situation, I was trying to plan one and didn't want to waste time leveling it if the idea was no good =)
