Default PLEASE let us change Store Hotkey!!

Okay, it has been a while that this has been brought up.
The Store Hotkey is not changeable for a lot of people!
This is a serious situation, it heavily impacts on gameplay.

I do understand that Turbine needs to sell stuff through the store, but there's the icon already. I don't know how many times I nearly died, or really died, because I didn't remove the store-hotkey upon login.

I'm not sure I buy Turbine's story about this being unwanted. There's no other hotkey that is so heavily advertised, so it's somewhat understandable that they don't want us to change it. This is not a thread. I love the game and I won't quit over a silly keymapping issue, but it's aggravating!

Do we all need to submit it as a bug every day or what must be done that this gets fixed? Please do something about it!

Turbine is notoriously slow with addressing player concerns, even ones that nearly everyone can agree to, such as fixing this problem (which has caused an untold number of mishaps to all of my characters).

There are really only two things you can do:

    1) Wait and hope they get around to it someday. You could be waiting a long time, there are hundreds if not thousands of really annoying bugs that have been around for years.

    2) Make lots of threads about the topic, bring it up in threads you see devs posting - basically, make a nuisance of yourself. It's annoying, but it does work occasionally - that's how Supreme Cleave got (mostly) fixed, and that still took 4 months or so.

I found a work around a while back.

Bind the primary and secondary ddo store options to key combinations you don't use (I am not sure this is necessary I remember doing it but I am at work and can't verify it).
Bind ctrl+s to an unused hotbar key and make sure not to put anything in it or bind it to use menu close (I use move backwards but I am assuming you can bind it to anything) . ctrl+s HAS to be bound to something. Even though you have both ddo store buttons bound to something else it will STILL rebind ctrl+s.

Funny thing is this was fixed for a little while at least for me, now its back again and while my store hotkey is bound to 2 different keys, ctrl +s will open and close it :S

I'll try that suggestion about binding ctrl s to something else, see how it goes.

So, since I talk through my ctrl, you're telling me I'm screwed, because I need to bind ctrl+s to something (which means it overrides the plain s binding I have at the moment)?
I know you're trying to help, so please don't see this as attack against yourself, rather frustration at Turbine, but that's no solution for me.

I honestly don't think Turbine sells more things through the store now than they would if they allowed us to change the binding. But somehow I have the feeling that those making decisions think otherwise, which is why I'm so aggravated.

The ddo store is currently perma bound to ctrl+s you just need to bind something else to ctrl+s so it stops opening when you accidently hit ctrl and s at the same time. You are just reassigning the key combo it wont change your voice chat button or your backup key.
