Run set up instead of launcher?

Apparently I can't close the game unless I want to wait for the set up to repair the installation each and every time I play. Is there a way to find and/or put the launcher on the desk top so I don't have to wait 10-15 minutes each time I want to play the game.

If I select 'exit game' at character select it shuts the game down so I can't play unless I repair the installation. But if I sign out from inactivity it runs perfectly fine.

Well not sure what platform you are running. Myself I run Vista. I had to manually add a short cut to my desktop. What I did was go to the installation folder and right click the launcher, then go to the "send to" option, then select desktop, which added it to my desktop. Depending on where you installed it, the path should be something like "C:\Program Files\Turbine\DDO Unlimited\TurbineLauncher.exe". Now as far as exiting the game I've never exited from the character select screen. I exit from inside the game by hitting the "esc" button and hitting the exit game button from the pop up menu. Hope this helps, I'm new to the game myself.
