mic and adventure compendium

i cant here anyone talking in voice speak but i hear the games music and sounds. my adventure compendium is completely empty. i tried restarting 3 times. any ideas?

If you go under options in-game by either going to the options or pressing Ctrl-O, there should be an option in either sound or music, this option is enable voice chat.
