    Default Default Warpriest Path

I just started as a F2P player about six weeks ago.

Now, I'm no stranger to PnP D&D, and I have all of the core 3.x rulebooks as well as some of the splat books. I both played and DMed PnP D&D with 3.x.

    But I'm kinda lazy lately.

So when I rolled up my cleric, I chose the default build for the Warpriest of Syberis path. I just made level 6, and every level I've stayed on that path. Makes leveling very easy - no research, no min-maxing, just point-click-level and I'm on to the next quest.

I'm having fun, which is the important thing, but my question is at what point, if any, will the default build no longer be functionally playable?

    Default Never, really

    Never, really.

You'll be stuck with some useless skills (Heal springs to mind), but you're not going to be ZOMG Gimp-o or anything like that.

Fwiw, I started on that build and ran it for 3 levels before I took a dip of fighter and was kicked out of the path

    Cheers,

Cool. That's the answer I was hoping for.

What about for solo play - I've run into quite a few dungeons where I could not open some of the doors, or seen treasure chests on the other side of locked gates/force fields/etc. that I could not get to running solo.

I was still able to complete the quests, I just wasn't able to get all the loot or optional XP.

This is the price you may pay by playing solo -- however, 9 out of 10 times it doesn't really matter. If you plan on get every possible optional done with every possible chest, you may want to do a rog/cleric approach but that may need to take a clearly plan before you even create your character ( because you need planning out how to spend point, and you need splash rogue at first level in order to get as many skill point as possible)

Truth been told that, many cleric solo at high level simply don't care about those optional ( they are hardly make a big impact of your xp chart, as well as loot wise )
