    Default they are fun !!!

well admittedly I don't have him maxed but my 2/pally rest sorc is a ball to play... saving throws are admittedly kinda ridiculous... and the sp really arn't that bad.... unfortunately you do lose two points of spell pen but that's really about it... here if you wanna check him out ... has good umd ... decent hp blah blah... all the things you would want from a spell caster... plus a good weapon selection when in a pinch.. (great for soloing) really the only thing that I feel like I miss out on is I don't get any lvl 9 spells till lvl 20 total... but if you do roll it... I would definitly try and get lvl 8 sorc asap ... firewall can carry you a long way while your still trying to flesh things out

I have a similar build, my first multiclass. Im lucky enough to run with
some very patient guildies so finding groups wasnt a problem. And soloing
alot of explorer areas and dungeons one level under my lvl at the time(before scaling).

I have seen several 18Sorc/2Pali builds in game, and when well played they have plenty of flexiblity and solid support power. I have also seen several 16/2 +2 Rogue/or +2 Monk builds that continue to contribute to the party and rack up high kills scores their entire carreer.

Most of these are Warforged, though a drow is not uncommong. I myself have mid level 11/2 Sorc Monk, and a 8/2 Wiz-Ranger (which...sadly...is not a good build for me) and often times you can uncover good builds with the right equipment that you may not have imagined possible based on some non-traditional ideas...but...

    Tradition does have it's place.
