I've just recently installed this game. I've went through the forums so far, and done everything anyone has suggested. I have gotten the Connection to server failed since I installed 2 days ago. Any suggestions? I have yet to see a page detailing server status's either... Is there such a page?

This one varies depending on the network that Pando Media Booster is on. It can be that the port pando is trying to use is blocked, the router is not letting the connection through or your ISP blocks peer to peer connections outright (most just limit them to low bandwidth so that one is rare though). Look through the FAQ on Pando's site at that linked thread above

Also you may want to take a run through the steps steps here and the connection related ones here as they may help pindown where the connection is failing somewhat. Definitely follow up with a support request after that if its still not able to connect.

I spent the past 1.5 weeks with Turbine Tech Support. to no avail, they insisted the problem was either the firewall or a previous incorrect installation of "Pando Media Booster" PMO.exe.
Since each time i tried the troubleshooting suggestions from Turbine Techs, I was bypassed the router and turned off Windows firewall, I can be sure it was not firewall\router related. And I only got 1 worm virus out of it that was easily cleaned off, I think i was lucky.
The Pando file never even got installed but the Turbine Techs were constantly looking for it saying it had to be allowed - how do you allow a file that doesnt exist? (ran a file search across the whole computer takes forever with 1TB). And whats to allow if the firewalls are all down?
Simply put, the installation never gets that far to the Pando stuff, from what I can see in the Installation FAQ the install of Pando happens after the ddostandard.exe or ddohigh.exe successfully runs.
But the Turbine Techs just would understand that, even though I gave them that exact wording during troubleshooting.

Summary:
If you get this error: "No internet connectivity detected. Please reconnect and try again."
Then just try another computer or give up - there is obviously an unresolved glitch in their program that affects a small percentage of users.

I ended up having to just download from a third party, which was a pain to find also. I ended up going to fileplanet and using the public queues http://www.fileplanet.com/202160/200...limited-Client

I was forced to download it from that third party (thank you for the link by the way), but apparently there's something wrong with it. I run the launcher after the installation, but it doesn't even ask me for my account details, just opens the big launcher window and says "Connection to server failed." When I try to run the client itself, it obviously gives me an error message saying that I haven't specified my account name and password.

Is there a way to make the program prompt me for those details, or maybe create a file from scratch containing them?

Having the same problem. I have played this before and am interested in continuing, but can't due to the problems outlined above.
I personally think that there is something deep in my registry somewhere from Pando that is throwing off the install execution. Not going to bother to look for it though. Shouldn't have to.
I also think that this problem really reflects back poorly on Pando and Turbine.

I will hold out for a solution though

I solved this issue by turning off my TrendMicro firewall for the download. Might want to turn off your firewalls to see if that's the root cause.

Simply turning off your firewall may not work in all cases for all platforms. I had a HUGE hassle trying to get pando media booster to work on Win7 64 bit. I had to reconfigure my firewall and my router. I wanted to reinstall my DDO client that went totally sideways after U12.

NOTE: If you're running Windows7 64 bit you'll find pmb.exe in the Program Files (x86) folder, not the regular Program Files folder as shown in the image. And because it's hard to read that image the path is,

OR
C:\Program Files\Pando Networks\Media Booster

NOTE: After you get the 2nd popup alert, simply hitting 'retry' at that point will get you downloading. (Pando seems to throw the 2nd exception before the firewall actually registers it (maybe a race condition in pando or windows? maybe pando lacks a second check after it registers or catches x?).
