returning player - my characters are GONE !!!

I used to play DDO a few years ago. I have just downloaded the client and logged back into my account. My characters are totally gone! I checked EVERY server. WHAT GIVES?

your characters were probably renamed. there are also players who used a new key and instead made a new account, thinking it was their old ones. you might want to check these

Renamed? What do you mean? There are *NO* characters in my account ...

And I am pretty sure this is my old account where I had a few characters ...

Turbine has never purged characters, regardless of how many times we asked them to.

If the characters are gone, then:

1) You are on the wrong account
2) You are on the wrong server
3) You (or someone else with your password) deleted your characters when you quit in a huff, thinking you'd never come back.

This....In every case i have known about and/or read about on the forums, it has never been the case that characters have disappeared and/or been deleted. Ever.

Thats not to say that this may not be a first, but i supsect its not. Call the folks at Turbine, they will find out the answer for you, but as another said, wait until Tuesday-ish before you do so, it is the holiday where they at.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I am going to try to figure this out ... you guys have made me think that this really isn't my old account that I am logging in to.
