One of our clerics hit the rest shrine in part 4, died, and ended up in Meridia... or at least, that's what we were told.
I suppose it's possible that the recent fix introduced a new bug. One where the last person to shrine get's instantly killed in part 4, and because of a 2nd bug isn't even given a chance to click "Release" but is instead taken directly to their bind point. I suppose it's possible.
I'm truly open to suggestions, though, as I dislike declining people from my group. Anyone else had this happen to them? Feel free to send me a PM if you don't want to get flamed.
At this time, I'm not passing out the name of the individual. No guild is involved, either, as the individual was un-guilded. I'm just curious to know if my pessimistic inclinations are right or wrong.

only way you would be taken directly to your bind point is if you typed /death
perhaps someone played one of the old /death count jokes in a userchannel or tell.

Maybe he heard of that 'sploit from way back in beta, /death off
I mean turning it off sure comes in handy when testing creatures and such. Although I don't think it works anymore. Maybe the spelling is slightly off?Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.

deathpact doesnt send you back to your bind point. my guess is he released as it would appear you arriving at that conclusion too.

I was in that group and the consensus was that he used /death. People checked the logs and saw it apparently.

See, this is why I'm reserving judgement. My cleric casts death pact on a regular basis, but since I don't play the cleric very frequently, there could be some kind of weird interaction that I just haven't seen. Originally Posted by Aranticus

I bet is is the same cleric who did it in a run that I was in, only he didn't say a word, /death b4 part 4 started and left--smooth run too--He caught h*ll for it so now maybe he is trying out excuses.

I use deathpact all the time, not on part 4, but i do use it. No bugs.
