Default THF [falchion] Elf Favored Soul

I am working on an elf favored soul, mainly for melee. I plan to go 18 fav soul/2 fighter. At level 1 I took toughness and Two Hand Fighting.

    My stats are:
    Str:16
    Dex: 10
    Con : 12
    IQ: 10
    Wis: 12
    Chr: 16

My level ups will go to charisma. I will be casting mostly buff and protection spells.

Although I know I won't be a first rate DPS'er; what feats should I take to get the most out of it?

Is Arcane Archer worth taking Mental Toughness for?
Is Force of Personality useful considering the amount of charisma I'll have?
    Would I be better off re-rolling as 18 fvs/ 2 pal?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

    Wink THF Falchion

Been working on a Two Weapon Fighting Fav Soul Elf with Scimitars. So far at 5th level....unstoppable. This is what I did. (32 pt build) This is the build through level 5....so far.
    Str 16
    Dex 17
    Con 10 ( I think)
Wis 8 (I buff, I dont care about offensive spells...most of the good ones dont have a save anyway)
    Int 14
    Charisma 16

    Chaotic Good for Items

    Feats
    TWF
    Greater TWF
    Undying Court
    Fire Protection 10/reduction

    Enhancements
    Energy of Scion
    Elven Melee Attack
    Elven Melee Damage
    Charisma
    Dexterity
    Favored Soul Attack Boost
Improved Heal I for 10% increase in healing spells
Improved Heal II for another 10% increase in healing spells for total of 20%

    Skill Points all on
    Jump
    Concentration
    Diplomacy (just in case)
    Heal

Weapons I am using now are +1 Acid Scimitar of Pure Good and Nicked Scimitar
    +2 Mithral Plate (medium armor)
    Goggles of Insight
    Angers Step
    Angers Gift

    BAB +11/+9
Crit 18-20 x2 both weapons with a plan to take Improved Critical which will make 15-20 x2 each weapon thereby giving a critical hit each weapon about 30% of the time.

Like the Build? Ding my rep...don't like it tell me why...and ding my rep anyway for trying

If your going to be a melee FVS you wont need that much CHR or Wis, CHR is just used to get to the next spell level and get more mana, both which can be done with just useing +chr items and +mana items. I think all you really need is a 19 CHR? (Dont recall not going that high on mine). Wis also isnt that important unless your casting alot of offensive spells, if your just healing/buffing its not really needed at all, though my personal taste is getting it at least to 10 so i dont have negitives on saves.

If your going to want to make a 2H FVS your going to want to actually make him/her a melee beast who is also capable of Buffing/Healing (since it will benifit you as well as a party) thus the following feats might be in order.

    Toughness
    Extend spell
    Power Attack

You can fill the rest with 2H feats if you want but personally I never found the need to as its seemed to me to be a waste of feats. Other feats may include empower healing, Maximize spell, or Quicken spell to get healing off fast.

You probably dont want force of charisma, you will be needing every feat you get and since you really should be putting your level ups into str (better hit and damage with a 2h weapon also x2 power from power attack) it wont really be effective. Personally if going Two handed I would go Warforge, dwarf or human, but thats just me. Elves have kinda a low str.

As for multi classing fighter isnt too bad a choice, however the capstone for FVS is 10 DR, which is rather nice for a melee oriented FVS.
