Default Halfer 10 monk / 8 sorc / 2 pally: why the hate for tri-multi's?

I'm a former subscriber hooked back in years later after it went f2p (great marketing btw) who has once again subscribed because I found the changes to my liking.
To all you naysayers looking at my join date.... I simply never registered until now.
I simply never had anything to say.
    *edit*
It seems that the join date is correct. I had assumed it would be for the registering of this forum, and it seems that I was wrong.

I have multiple toons on Kyber. This toon started as pally 2 / monk 2 / FvS 16 planned, but I scratched that for 2 reasons.
    1) People always expected me to play dedicated healer because of the FvS levels (and until later levels this is a sub-par healer)
    2) It was SO EASY to solo that it wasn't even fun. There was no challenge. At all.

So I scrapped the toon and built one similar, that was a bit more challenging to play, swapping FvS for Sorc. I realized that the melee aspect was going to drag behind a bit, so I decided to get some buffs from Sorc and take more monk along the way. As it stands I've leveled him to 8 (2 pally / 2 monk / 4 sorc) and he's a BLAST to run. This character can melee (usually leading kill counts), buff the party and himself (better buffs coming soon!), function as a back-up healer via wands, and when there's no rogue in the group.... he can lead the party (while they stay a distance behind) and find all the traps with his amazing saving throws. He has already, on multiple occasions, saved the party from a wipe because of his versatility and survivability. I basically view him as the PERFECT 5th or 6th man to a group. All the core roles are filled? Bring along someone that can fill most of them himself!
All that, PLUS.... it just makes me giggle to see a melee sorc (for that's what his icon will show until 18th level) leading kill counts. I know that this will change as he levels up and his murderous rampages will slightly diminish for a while, but even so wouldn't you want him in your group?

So with alll of that in mind: Why the HATE for tri-multi's? Even with all he can do, I have a hell of a time finding a group sometimes. Normally I send tells before I even request to join, explaining what I am capable of, but this is getting to be a bit annoying.
I understand that certain people will automatically assume he's a gimp, but this is hardly the case. My intention wasn't to build the uber-powerhouse, but to build an extremely versatile toon that can contribute in many different ways as different needs arise, because all groups are different.

From running through 8 levels so far, it seems that I have succeeded. Anyone on Kyber looking for a versatile toon to run with is more than welcome to join Caleibro in his adventures.

    *edit 2*
Ran The Pit last night with no healer in the group before leveling to 8. Caleibro kept the party alive (unless they fell into the lava, then he went to get them), buffed them with resists to survive, gave everyone Jump so they could get that pesky chest in the Furnace, stood amidst fireballing elementals wand whipping cures at Fighters while never taking damage.... and STILL lead the kill count.
    I mean, COME ON!

Start your own groups, gain a good reputation for playing well and you'll get in groups.

People are often unwilling to take a gamble on a build they don't understand played by someone they don't know.
