Default Kensai Pure Fighter Build Advice

    Guys,

This is my first fighter and I am moving towards the Kensai TWF kopesh wielding pure fighter. I know the DPS is fairly good for this build, what I am wondering is what enchants should I be aiming for, and is it possible to pull out a shield when needed and have an AC that is good enough to tank higher level dungeons with this build. I am running in a static party and my job is DPS/Tank.

    Any advice would be helpfull.

    Thanks in advance.

It is certainly possible to do both. Limit yourself to a 16 starting strength and put a few points into Int... starting with a 12 or 13 is not too hard.

13 is needed for Combat Expertise feat. Since you are taking the TWF feat line you'll have enough Dex that with some armor mastery enhancements and CE turned on you can have a decent enough AC with Buffs.

Now, I was assuming you are working with 32 point builds. It's quite a bit harder to squeeze in the CE feat for a TWF pure fighter with 28 point builds.

The extra Int will allow you to put points towards Intimidate to help you hold aggro.

Playing in a static group will mean that your group mates will learn how to play with you. That will allow you to develop a good rhythm as they'll understand your tanking ability level which will make it go smoother.

yes, its only a 28 point build, although I have other characters so I can afford some ability boosts to help me in some areas.
    Thanks heaps for your info.

you can start int at 10 or 11 so you can get ce someday if you want it. You'll need a +2 or 3 tome, but its still within reach.

You really only need it if you start shooting for the real high ac numbers, untill then use defensive fighting.
